This slope is grassed and mowed frequently. It could be more attractive for people and wildlife if it was replaced with a wildflower patch. This would reduce the maintenance costs/carbon dioxide output/risk to workers from air pollution when working alongside a busy road. Bees and other pollinators are under threat and would benefit.

Comments:
There are lots of verges in Congleton, e.g. along West Road, which are mowed when they could be left for wild flowers to colonise. Leaving them to grow wild might also direct pedestrians to cross at pedestrian crossings, improving safety.
